Lots of fun, no embarrassing role-playing and a learning outcome that results in producing a report - declaring who is the murderer and why. 'A great way of learning how to produce written business communication that can be readily understood and acted upon. 

This workshop is especially ideal for technical staff who have to convert verbal communication into written format as well as anyone whose job role is to produce reports and short notes.

A mystery in four acts where course participants take on the role of one of the world's greatest detective to solve a rather gruesome murder. Plenty of red herrings, puzzling clues and an outcome that is decided by those attending - or is it?

Act One - An introduction to the murder - verbal communication
Act Two - Helping Police with their enquiries - requesting information
Act Three - Body Language - dead or alive
Act Four - Who dun it? - producing a conclusive report


 

Aim: To produce clearly written communication in a business environment


Objectives:

 

To understand the different needs of written communication as compared to verbal communication

 

• To interpret information and feedback and re-present in report form

 

• To consider the structure of business documents in everyday usage

 

• To produce a Report
