Sales and Marketing Programme
In 2004 Business Link Lincoln & Rutland invited us to produce and deliver a sales and marketing programme aimed at growing businesses in the Region. We generated a series of tailored workshops under the banner ‘getting to grips with’ - one day workshops devoted to getting the most of out of a limited budget.
From ‘advertising that sells’ to ‘direct mail that delivers’ the programme was over subscribed and was duly repeated over the following 3 years. Programme manager, Jacqui Spittlehouse said she especially liked the practical approach we took as well as the fact we provided them a complete no-hassle package. From the production and printing (in BL corporate style) to provision of all AV equipment etc.
Rural Small Business Programme
Advance Rural Lincolnshire, run by Lincoln based Success Matrix, is an initiative supported by the local
authority, EMDA and Lincolnshire Enterprise with financial support from the EU Development Fund. In 2006 we ran a sales and marketing seminar programme – a series of half-day interactive workshops aimed at fledgling businesses around the County .
Using venues as diverse as Moulton windmill and Market Rasen racecourse, the programme ticked all the boxes in being practical, relevant and above all fun. Great feedback and notable success stories arising from the programme
National Federation of Builders

The National Federation of Builders is one of the longest established trade associations in the UK and as such has earned a reputation for developing support services for the construction industry that are second to none. As a member organisation they are always looking to ensure they help their members in keeping up to date with new legislation as well as improving the skills of the workforce.
We have been honoured to work with them over the years in producing and delivering management programmes such as ‘managing stress in the workplace’ ‘negotiation for success’ ‘powerful presentation skills’ and a 2 day project planning course aimed at NFB regional managers.
Start-up Businesses - Enterprise Programme
We pride ourselves on the programmes we develop and deliver for start up businesses and incubator businesses. We have been delivering a five part marketing programme for Sheffield Enterprise (SENTA) for a number of years that is regularly oversubscribed and in 2006 we ran a pilot programme for East Midlands Incubation Network in Nottingham delivering a half day workshop on ‘how (not) to make an exhibition of yourself'
Our ‘start up and go’ programme – a unique modular based programme designed for the 21st Century – is currently being evaluated by a number of Enterprise Agencies in the UK.
Training the Trainer
The biggest producer of bagels in the UK, Canadian based Mapleaf Bakery, with a factory in South Yorkshire are proud of their diverse employment record ensuring staff from all backgrounds and cultures have the opportunity to grow with the Company.
A challenge faced by this policy is to ensure that everyone working in the highly automated environment fully understands their responsibilities especially in the field of health and safety. We tailored our ‘train the trainer’ course to their specific needs, to provide them not only with the skills needed to deliver training in-house but also the facility to produce training material that was comprehensible to all.
